I love traveling. Even the painful moments of waiting to get to the destination. In foreign countries it is even more exciting because half of the time you don't know what is going on. On my first trip to San Jose we got off the main highway to pick up some passengers in a small town. We crossed a small stream and then drove over unpaved, bumpy road for about 30 minutes. The view was magnificent.

Coming back from San Jose, sitting in back of a pickup truck. I took some great photos here with the unobstructed view. There were some fascinating mountain side communities. It never failed that all the stores along the highway had signs for Coca-Cola. Occasionally I would see a sign for Internet or a telephone. These conveniences weren't in abundance, but they could be found virtually wherever you were.

I found this sign in Puerto Escondido. It basically says don't throw your trash or go to the bathroom. And if you do, there will be trouble. Funny thing was, I really had to go to the bathroom when I saw the sign...
